The reason for this is that Chris Cottington and Kieran Halliday have both been selected in the Cheshire Football League Representative Squad.
They are in the 16 that will travel to Douglas in the Isle of Man to take on their representative side in the FA National Inter-League Cup.
This is a massive achievement, and rich reward, for Chris, Kieran and Billinge Football Club; and the best wishes of everybody at the club goes out to the players.
Cotty has been with us for a number of years and is the beating heart of the club.
In all my time in the game, I have never seen such a consistent footballer. You can count his bad performances on a couple of fingers.
Kieran has come to us this season from Ashton Town and is one of three superb keepers we have at the club. Again, he has been absolutely terrific and like all keepers is a great character.
As for the club, we couldn't be more proud to have two players in the squad and we wish them every success in the match.
The Isle of Man are one of the fancied teams but this is a very strong Cheshire outfit and hopefully, they can prevail and progress to the next round.
