Congleton lost for the first time this season meaning that we enter September with no unbeaten sides.
The Cheshire-based side lost 3-0 at home to FC St Helens proving - if we didn't know already - that the division is likely to be wide open this season.
There was another excellent away victory for Knutsford who defeated Crewe 2-1 by the railway while Lostock Gralam went to Egerton and won 2-1.
The third away victory belonged to Whaley Bridge Athletic who bounced back from a midweek defeat to record an excellent 3-1 victory at Broadheath Central.
The other three games saw home victories for Eagle Sports and Poynton who beat Altrincham Reserves and Daten respectively while - of course - we drew 1-1 at Middlewich Town.
Greenalls game at Beacon Youth was called off due to a waterlogged pitch
