It was a mixture of league and cup fixtures this last weekend in the Cheshire Football League.

In the Premier Division, there were six League matches as Congleton VR maintained their position at the top with a fine 3-0 victory away at Lostock Gralam while Crewe stay in second as they edged past Alty Reserves with a 1-0 victory at the Cumberland Arena.
Middlewich Town shared the points with Whaley Bridge Athletic in a six-goal thriller, Blacon beat Poynton 1-0 over in Chester while there were away wins for Daten and FC St Helens at Broadheath Central and Knutsford respectively.
The results meant that FC St Helens jumped above us into fifth and the whole table can be seen here

Four Cheshire League Premier Division teams were in cup action with only ourselves progressing.
Greenalls crashed out of the Liverpool CFA Cup losing 1-4 at home to East Villa while Eagle Sports lost by the same scoreline away at Mossley Hill - our opponents in the next round.
Over in the Cheshire County FA Amateur Cup, it was another 4-1 reverse as Mersey Royal beat Egerton FC over at Egerton Youth Club.

Meanwhile, it was great to see our own Reserves start their League campaign with a fine 2-2 draw at Garswood United.
Rest assured, this was an excellent result as we had a number of influential players missing due to injury, availability and holidays while Garswood United had called off (and pulled out of the LCFA Cup) their first team due to lack of players leading to others playing in the reserve team.
It was the only League game in Reserve League One and that point sees us sitting in fourth in the division.
The full table can be seen here
