Billinge New Street will be looking to build on their excellent performance against Golborne on Tuesday - when on another night we could have come away with all three points.
The management were disppointed with our performance in the first game of the season but will feel much better after Tuesday.
With everybody putting ina good performance it was a real gutsy performance that despite the lack of goals was an entertaining affair for the crowd at Barrows.
Focus is now on Malpas who make the long trip north from their home at the excellent Malpas & District Sports Club down by the Welsh border.
Last season the sun shone and we came away with a decent 1-0 victory. The same can’t be said for the home fixture when Malpas came away with the three points after a thumping 4-0 victory.
Not that much can be gauged from last season’s results as both sides are now under new management with the visitors now managed by Crewe Alexandra legend and Northern Ireland international Steve Jones.
It all promises to be another cracking Cheshire League clash.
Kick-off is 2pm and it would be good to get a good crowd down at the farm.
The cafe will be open before the game and at half-time and if you haven't been to Barrows Farm, Billinge before you can find the ground at:
