With eight regulars missing it was always going to be a difficult task, but the side just didn't perform on the day.
The fact that the game was goalless at half-time was mainly due to Street's replacement keeper John Muldoon who stepped up to the first team and pulled off some excellent saves from a lively Daten front line.
The nearest Billinge got to scoring was in the 35th minute when Danny Lamb's drive went the wrong side of the post.
Whatever was said during the half-time break didn't work as Daten scored from the restart.
A long ball direct from the kick-off was missed by two Clarets defenders allowing Brad Stokes to nip in and finish neatly.
For the next 25 minutes it was a midfield stalemate with neither side creating much.
However, on 80 minutes a neat move saw Stokes getting his and Daten's second,
This, ironically led to The Storks best period in the game as they attacked with purpose mainly through substitute Steve Taylor but couldn't find a goal.
Special praise should go out to Jordan Hallwood and Scott Maher for solid performances, but the SC Renewables man-of-the-match award went to Muldoon for his fine display in goal.
After the game a disappointed Billinge manager Steve Hallwood said: "I could give the 'lads missing' excuse, but the truth is we had a full bench and enough quality within the matchday squad to do better than that.
"We'll work hard on it in training this week, analyse what went wrong and will go again on Saturday against Vulcan."
That game will be played at Sutton Leisure with a 2.30pm kick-off.
