The game was played at the JMO Sports Park at Skelmersdale and the victory was built on a solid performance by the Billinge rearguard of Elliot Twigg, Adam Dickinson, Geoff Parr and Ant Higgins.
At the other end the Storks looked lively and went in at the break 2-0 up with another class goal from Dan Hague and Aaron Bailey netting again.
With eighteen players involved there were plenty of changes in the second-half which led to some confusion within the Billinge ranks allowing the opposition to claw back two quick goals.
However Anthony Farrell, Jay Parkin, Geoff Parr and Ant Higgins gained their composure and drove the team forward.
With the help of Joe Unsworth, Elliot and young Joe Ratcliffe Billinge dominated the remainder of the second-half with further goals from a dazzling Tom Ashall and Aaron again.
At the final whistle it was 4-2 to Billinge Reserves.
Stand-out performances came from Joe Unsworth, Aaron Bailey and Dan Hague with the MOM going to Tom Ashall.
After the game Paul Farrell was happy with the way the day had gone saying: "We had a lot of lads to look at which obviously affects the fluidity on the pitch but we produced some good football and there were some excellent performances in the heat.
"We can now look forward to another good week training before next Saturday's friendly."
Again the committee would like to thank chairman Steve Dickson for calling his many contacts to set up the fixture after Prescot Cables were unable to raise a reserve team late in the week.
And of course The Highwayman who stepped in to play us.
