Billinge Reserves continue great run.

‪Dave, Jayne and Hannah had re-stocked the Boot Room Cafe in anticipation of another sellout with today's visitors being top of the league Lynotype Cheadle HN Reserves.
Such is the strength of the reserves at the moment big decisions had to be made by Paul and Keith picking a team plus five substitutes from an available squad of 18.
Billinge were quick out of the blocks creating four excellent chances in the first 20 minutes; all falling to Rob Ablewhite who unusually for the striker failed to score.
With another solid performance from Ant Farrell, Jay Parkin, Ant Higgins and the ever-impressive Geoff Parr at the back Billinge gained the upper hand in the 1st half. However they were still susceptible to be hit on the break and but for the agility of Tom Hull pulled off a worldie save from point blank range punching the ball over the bar at full stretch they could have been behind.
This warning shot lifted the Billinge team who replied with good efforts to score at the other end from Thomas Ashall, Jordan Farrell and Ablewhite again.
Whilst Billinge were unlucky not to go in at the break at least three up but it remained 0-0.
The second half was an even more enthralling affair from the Billinge entertainers and with both teams slogging it out something had to give.
Young Jordan Farrell - on his full Billinge debut - lost possession on the edge of the box for the Cheadle striker Wayne Grandison to go on and score.
The team felt for Jordan giving him great encouragement to keep his head up and carry on.
Billinge were having good success down both wings with the two Ants - Farrell and Higgins - supplying Ashall and Daniel Hague who were getting forward with ease.
Captain Joe Unsworth - in a more disciplined holding role - bossed midfield with the effervescent Derek Evans pushing forward for the vital equaliser.
Ablewhite earned his team another free kick outside the box.
Up stepped quick-thinking Anthony Farrell who curled a ball into Ashall's path who smashed the ball into the net from five yards to put The Storks level.
Terry Jepson came on for Hague to cause even more havoc.
Linotype were under so much pressure and it was only fitting that young Jordan Farrell found himself in the box with two defenders in front of him and found the technical ability to bend the ball round them into the top corner of the net to the pleasure of his team mates; more than making up for his earlier error.
With five minutes to go there was another sting in the tail when the referee awarded Linotype with a penalty.
It appeared to be a harsh decision but hero Hull made a brilliant save low down to his right earning his side all three points from top of the league Linotype Cheadle Reserves with Billinge Reserves winning 2-1 to continue their excellent form and winning run.
There were excellent performances by all however MOM went to Tom Hull.
