However any thoughts that Grappenhall were going to be a pushover were soon put on the the back burner when the home side got a succession of corners that were comfortably dealt with by a strong Storks defence.
Then on the half hour a great Baines-like free-kick from the evergreen Geoff Parr flew into the top corner giving Sport's keeper no chance.

The second-half saw Billinge come flying out of the blocks.
Rob Ablewhite was a constant thorn in the home defence.
Then - unbelievably - what was a blatant penalty when Ablewhite was manhandled to the ground saw the ref turn a blind eye.
Then a cross from Parr - now playing left wing - was nodded home by Ablewhite only to be ruled out by the ref.
Ablewhite then fired wide when clean through.
Billinge were now dominant against a side that had not been beaten in six.
However - as often happens - against the run of play a free-kick was despatched by the Grappenhall sub into the left-hand corner giving Tom Hull no chance. With time running out Ablewhite broke down the left to put in a great cross for the oncoming Tom Ashall to head home and continue his great scoring run.
The Storks were dealing with everything the home side could throw at them then inexplicably the ref gave another dodgy decision to the home side which resulted in a fluke shot that young and impressive left back Elliot Twigg nearly cleared but just failed resulting in the game finishing 2-2 at full-time.
After the game Squash was made up with the point although very dissapointed with the refs performance.
Fizzer refused to comment as he could feel an FA charge coming on as he was also furious with the referee's decision making.
