A mistake from Paul Slater who was unflappable up until that point would let Clock get a goal back, as the ball squirmed through his legs as he rushed out to collect and it was a simple tap in for the striker.

Billinge had a couple of half chances and Liam Rooke watch as the keeper pulled off a great save with a one on one, tipping the ball onto the post late on but the score would stay the same.

It was a great run out and Joe Ratcliffes fitness was a real plus for a first fixture.

The whole team played with heart and with a couple of additions this will be a real good squad
