Billinge Reserves beat local rivals Garswood United 3-2 on Thursday night.
The Storks raced into a 3-0 lead with goals from Richie Allen, Ryan Houghton and Tom Hilditch.
It was a good all-round performance with all the players putting in a good shift to produce a fine team performance.
The Wooders got back in the game through a 35-yard free-kick and then a goal with the last kick of the game.
However the score was not reflective of The Storks superiority on the night and if they had taken the chances it could have been a more comprehensive victory.
As said it was a good all-round performance but Jamie Anderson edged the man-of-the-match award.
The victory lifts Billinge Reserves into fourth place just three points behind Eagle Sports Reserves with a game in hand.
Congratulations to all the lads on the night along with injured-player Jonny Powell and first team manager Matt Potter who took the the team last night.
