Unfortunately it wasn't enough as - although The Storks were leading 2-0 at half-time - Middlewich never gave up and clawed the two goals back to draw the game 2-2.
The draw takes Billinge into third position in the league just three points behind leaders Styal Reserves.
After the game acting manager Jonny Powell - although disappointed with the draw - was very pleased with the performance saying, "I thought all our lads played really well and we perhaps deserved more.
"It was great to have Jon back after 18 months out with injury and his two goals showed what a great player he is.
"In fact if he hadn't been given offside when bearing down on goal he would have had his third and made it 3-0 and you'd then think we may have won it but it wasn't to be.
"That said well done to Middlewich for battling to the end it what was good game."
